In June 2002, 5438+ 10, Jimei University established the Overseas Education College, and in 2006, 5438+07, Chen Aili International College was added. As the window unit of Jimei University's internationalization, Overseas Education Institute has always adhered to the spirit of Jiageng and the motto of "Cheng Yi" since its establishment, bearing in mind the initial mission of developing international education.
With the spirit of hard work, truth-seeking and innovation, relying on the high-quality platform of the school, we actively introduced international educational resources, paid attention to connotation construction, worked hard to forge ahead, and achieved fruitful results in the training of foreign students in China, overseas Chinese training, Sino-foreign cooperative education, and overseas study training.
The project adopts the "4+0" academic system, and Jimei University and Cook University of the United States jointly formulate training programs and teaching plans that meet the requirements of the Sino-foreign cooperative education policy. The teaching plan, curriculum and teaching content are not lower than the teaching standards and academic requirements of Cook University in the United States.
American courses are taught in English, using the original English textbooks. Teachers are selected by the United States, and students are required to complete their homework and exams in English. After entering school, students must participate in intensive English training based on listening and speaking to meet the needs of American English teaching.
Education system and school-running mode:
1, undergraduate "4+0" academic system
Adopt the courses of Jimei University and Cook University. Jimei University is responsible for 75 credits of teaching, and Cook University is responsible for 45 credits of teaching.
American courses are taught in English, using the original English textbooks (English textbooks with copies are authorized for domestic publication). Teachers are selected by the United States to teach in English, and students should complete their homework and exams in English.
After entering school, students must participate in intensive English training based on listening and speaking to meet the needs of American English teaching.
2. Undergraduate "3+ 1" academic system
Those who meet the requirements of English proficiency and course performance can apply to study at Cook University in the fourth academic year.
