1, Tsinghua Institute of Architecture was founded by the famous architect Mr. Liang Sicheng in June 1946, with a long development history and complete facilities, while other colleges in Tsinghua were established in August 1977, with a slightly shorter development history and incomplete facilities than Tsinghua Institute of Architecture.

The Tsinghua University Institute of Architecture and Urban Studies, the Tsinghua University Research Center for Human Settlements and the Tsinghua University Research Center for Building Energy Conservation, which were established across departments, were all built in the Institute of Architecture, while other colleges did not have urban research institutes and research centers.
