school motto
Learn from others, learn from others. Learning hundreds of rivers comes from Wang Chong's "On Balance, Don't Pass All" in the Eastern Han Dynasty: there are hundreds of words in people's hearts, such as the river. Wang Chong opposes scholars' complacency, advocates extensive reading and becomes a generalist who can understand the words of a hundred schools of thought at the same time. He said: A generalist has a hundred words in his chest, and adults have different minds, so they have great knowledge (wisdom), so they are all-encompassing in Taoism.
As a school motto, there are two meanings: one is that Master Hai has an ocean-like mind, an open mind and is good at absorbing all the outstanding achievements of human culture; Second, Haida advocates that academic research should let a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend, accommodate all kinds of academic ideas and gather talents from all sides.
