Zhejiang Normal University is a multi-disciplinary provincial key university with teacher education as its main feature. However, due to its geographical location, the number of students has dropped significantly in recent years. There are 47 majors in 16 colleges, including Chuyang College, School of Law and Economics, Tian Jiabing Institute of Education, Hangzhou Normal University, School of Physical Education, School of Humanities, School of Foreign Languages, Conservatory of Music, Academy of Fine Arts, School of Mathematics and Science, School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Business Administration, School of Tourism and Resource Management, College of Advanced Technology and Xingzhi College, with 650 full-time students. Adult education college has correspondence department and night university, and there are more than 20 thousand students in various adult higher education. The teacher training center of Zhejiang Normal University is located in our school and is the main base of higher normal education in the province. The school was identified as the national key vocational education teacher training base by the Ministry of Education. The school has the right to evaluate teachers' sub-high, and there are 2,099 employees in vocational education, including 2 academicians of China Academy of Sciences, 2 academicians of China Academy of Engineering, full-time teachers 1 147, full-time teachers 129, and 402 teachers with sub-high titles. At present, 3 1 teachers in our school have been rated as young and middle-aged academic leaders in Zhejiang province, and 2 1 teachers have been selected as "15 1 talent project" in the province. Every year, the school invites famous professors, experts and scholars at home and abroad to give lectures, and at the same time actively sends young and middle-aged teachers to universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad for further study and visit to ensure the continuous improvement of teaching quality and scientific research level.
The school has excellent comprehensive conditions and complete infrastructure. There are 37 key research institutes (centers), 7 provincial key disciplines, 8 provincial key supporting disciplines, 8 provincial key majors, 10 school key disciplines and 30 master's degree programs. It is the only pilot unit of master's degree in education in Zhejiang Province. The teaching infrastructure of Tian Jiabing Institute of Education, such as Jingyi Building, Music Building, Art Building, Modern Education Technology Center, Gymnasium and Storm Playground, is advanced and fully functional, with a collection of more than 1.65 thousand volumes, more than 7,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals, and spacious and comfortable student apartments and student canteens, which provide relatively complete conditions for the study and life of the whole school.
In recent years, the school has further strengthened international exchanges and contacts, expanded the field of international educational exchanges, and established exchanges and cooperation with more than 20 institutions of higher learning or educational institutions in more than ten countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Japan and Australia. Since 1997, the school has obtained the qualification to recruit long-term and short-term international students in China, and under the guidance of the State Education Commission, a Chinese language training center has been established in Cameroon. Since 1995, the school has organized students to study abroad at their own expense every year, and has successfully sent five batches of 170 self-funded students to Kiev International Civil Aviation University in Ukraine for four consecutive years. 1999, 200 1, in 2002, the school held French class for international business, Sino-Australian e-commerce and information technology cooperation class, and Sino-Australian Master of Education Management class successively.
In 2007, China University evaluated that China University ranked 56th in social science 100 in 2007 and China University ranked 87th in science 100 in 2007. In 2008, China University ranked 5th 100 in the top social sciences, 59th in the top science school 100 in China University in 2008 and 2nd in the top education school 100 in China University in 2008.
