The reason why the school cuts off the power supply in the dormitory is entirely for the sake of students, not to say that the school can't afford these electricity bills. There are two main reasons:
(1) The dormitory is powered off to ensure that students get enough sleep and their studies will not be affected. Nowadays, electronic equipment is more and more developed and convenient, and the network is more and more popular. Many students bring their mobile phones, iPad and notebooks to school. On weekdays, I play games and read novels in the dormitory. If there is no electricity in the dormitory at night, many students will stay up late to play mobile phones and games. Therefore, the reason for the school's power outage is to let students go to bed early, so as not to affect the next day's class study.
(2) The power failure in the dormitory not only ensures the students' sleep, but also takes into account the safety issues, greatly reducing the probability of safety accidents. Night is the sleep time for all of us, and many maintenance personnel are off duty; If electricity is used improperly at night, it is also a period of high incidence of safety accidents. Although the school expressly stipulates that overload appliances are not allowed to be used, some students still use them secretly. Maybe they don't care, but if everyone uses them, it is very easy to overload the line and cause a fire. If the dormitory catches fire, it will cause heavy casualties to densely populated students.
When I was in college, this was the management mode in the school. Power will be cut off regularly in winter, but in summer, because of the hot weather, fans are needed to cool down. However, the dormitory is in a state of pressure limitation all the year round, that is, the power exceeds the standard, and the dormitory is automatically cut off. The school will regularly organize personnel to check the high-power electrical appliances in the dormitory; It is through these ways that the school ensures the personal safety of students.
