The 2 1 1 project, that is, the construction project of about 100 colleges and universities and a number of key disciplines facing the 2 1 century, is the largest and highest-level key construction project initiated by the state in the field of higher education since the founding of New China, and is an important measure for the China government to implement the strategy of "rejuvenating the country through science and education".
Brief introduction of China Ocean University:
China Ocean University (OUC) is located in Qingdao, Shandong Province. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), a world-class university construction university (Class A), the first batch of national key construction universities in Project 985 and Project 2 1 1. Selected into the 20 1 1 plan,1plan, outstanding engineer education and training plan, outstanding agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan, national high-level university public graduate program, new engineering research and practice project, and China government scholarship receiving institution for overseas students in China, it is the China-Europe elite university alliance, Arctic University, International Antarctic College and international sea-related institutions.
The school was formerly a private Qingdao University, founded in 1924. 1930, National Qingdao University was established on the basis of provincial Shandong University and private Qingdao University. After the National Shandong University and Shandong University, the main body of Shandong University moved to Jinan in June 1958+00, and Shandong Ocean College was established in March 1959 on the basis of the departments of ocean, aquatic products, geology and biology. 1960 was identified by the state as one of the national 13 key comprehensive universities. 1988 was renamed Qingdao Ocean University. In 2002, it was renamed China Ocean University.

China Youshi University (East China) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction university, a national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" key construction university, and a member of the university alliance with high-quality resources and high-level industry characteristics. Selected into "11/plan", "excellent engineer education and training plan", "national plan for building high-level university graduate students", "national innovation experiment plan for college students", "new engineering research and practice project", "national typical experience university for graduate employment" and "national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform". It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, five major energy enterprise groups, the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is an important base for cultivating high-level talents in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. Known as the "cradle of petroleum science and technology talents", it has become a university with distinctive characteristics of petroleum and petrochemical industry and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. There are graduate schools and national university science parks.
The school was founded in 1953, confirmed as a national key university in 1960, and renamed as Petroleum University in 1988, gradually forming a pattern of running schools in Shandong and Beijing. /kloc-0 officially entered the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" in 1997. In June 2005, the school was renamed China Youshi University.
