Introduction of Southwest University:

Southwest University is located in Chongqing, a 2 1 1. It is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing. The history of the school can be traced back to 1906. After several generations of inheritance and evolution, it was renamed Sichuan Institute of Education on 1936, and changed its name several times in the middle.

Later, several schools merged into these two schools. Finally, in 2005, Southwest Normal University and Southwest Agricultural University merged to form Southwest University.
