Anhui University has four campuses and a university science park, with a campus area of more than 3,200 mu and a construction area of 6,543.8+0.25 million square meters.

Anhui Medical University has five campuses (colleges): Meishan Road Campus, Emerald Road Campus, East Campus (under construction), Chaohu Campus and Fuyang Campus, covering an area of 2,086 mu.

Anhui University is a national "double-class" construction university jointly established by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, and it is a key comprehensive university in Anhui Province. As the beginning of modern higher education in Anhui, the school was founded in Anqing, the then provincial capital, from 65438 to 0928. During the Anti-Japanese War, the school was forced to move westward and was once scattered. 1946 resumed school and became the national Anhui university.

1949 moved to Wuhu in February, and after several adjustments, 1956 moved to Hefei, and 1958 fully resumed enrollment. On September 6th, 1958, Comrade Mao Zedong wrote the name of the school in his own handwriting.

With the great progress of China's reform, opening up and modernization, the school has entered the fastest and best period in history, especially after entering the ranks of the national "2 1 1 project" university construction, and achieved leap-forward development.

Anhui Medical University is a provincial key university, jointly established by the Ministry of Education, National Health Commission and Anhui Province, the first batch of high-level universities with local characteristics, and the first batch of comprehensive reform pilot schools in Anhui Province.

The school was formerly a private Southeast Medical University founded by 1926 in Shanghai. 1930 was renamed Southeast Medical College. /kloc-at the end of 0/949, in response to the call of the Central East China Bureau to "face the countryside and go inland", it moved to Huaiyuan, Anhui Province, becoming the first medical college in Anhui Province. 1952 moved to Hefei and changed its name to Anhui Medical College. 1985 changed its name to Anhui Medical University.

The school has established the motto of the inscription by Mr. Cai Yuanpei, a famous modern educator, the school spirit of "virtue first, learning to help the world", the glorious tradition of "patriotism, love for the people and dedication to human health", and the educational concept of "rejuvenating the country, being dedicated and being virtuous".

Advocate and practice the teaching style of "respecting, enjoying and being good at teaching" and the study style of "seeking truth, perfection and innovation", and strive to build a high-level medical university.
