The documents of Fudan University clearly state that doctoral dissertations are the main basis for doctors, and there is no rigid requirement for English. The document stipulates that doctoral students need to publish more than three C-type journals or cores during their school days, and doctoral dissertations can graduate smoothly if they meet the requirements.

Generally speaking, doctors have three years, including full-time doctors and in-service doctors, but most in-service doctors can get their degrees after graduation, which is very different from in-service masters.

The full-time doctoral program lasts for three to six years. Most of them graduate in four or five years, and they can repeat their studies in the third year. If they fail, they will have the opportunity to reply every three months, provided that the quantity and quality of the papers are sufficient.
