According to the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Awarding Doctoral and Master's Degrees in Southwest University and the Notice of Graduate School on Doing a Good Job in Graduation and Degree Awarding in 2002/kloc-0, we hereby notify you of the relevant matters concerning the graduation and degree granting of doctoral and academic master's graduates in our college in the spring of 2002/kloc-0 as follows:
I. Applying for graduation and conferring degrees
(1) Applicant
All kinds of graduate students at all levels who have reached the minimum length of study stipulated in the training plan and those who apply for a master's degree with the same academic qualifications as graduate students.
(2) Application category
Application categories include the following four categories:
1. Graduation and degree awarding: reach the minimum study period, complete all courses and training, and meet the requirements of graduation and degree awarding.
2. Graduation alone: having reached the minimum study period and completed all courses and training links within the maximum study period, which meets the graduation conditions, but does not meet the conditions for degree granting.
3. Graduation: I have reached the minimum study period, completed all courses and training links within the maximum study period, but failed to meet the graduation requirements.
4. Degree conferring after graduation: Graduate students who have obtained graduation certificates within 24 months can apply for dissertation defense and degree conferring.
International students need to submit applications to international colleges at the same time.
Two. Qualification examination and materials to be submitted by the applicant (completed before March 15)
(A) the verification of course scores and training links
1. All doctoral students and academic graduate students who plan to graduate (excluding international students and students who apply for master's degree with equivalent academic qualifications) must check whether they have completed all the teaching links stipulated in the training plan in the MIS system from 151October 25th to March 25th, and submit relevant materials for review by tutors, training offices and degree offices of colleges and graduate schools. Only after passing the exam can you enter the defense procedure.
2. Doctoral students should submit the Examination Form for Defense Qualification of Doctoral/Master's Dissertation of Southwest University in duplicate or the Application Form for Postgraduate Graduation of Southwest University in duplicate and the Topic Selection Report of Master's (Doctor's) Dissertation of Southwest University before February 26th and March 5th. All graduate students who plan to graduate must submit their graduation and degree applications through the graduate management system (namely MIS system, website: 8088/pyxx/login.aspx) before March 15. After the deadline, the system will automatically close and no replenishment will be made.
3. Foreign students and applicants with equivalent academic qualifications should submit in writing the Examination Form for Defense Qualification of Dissertation of Southwest University 1 copy, the Topic Selection Report of Master's Dissertation of Southwest University 1 copy, and the Transcript (two copies in paper, electronic files in WORD, and electronic files in EXCEL format for applicants with equivalent academic qualifications) before March 5.
4. Postgraduates who apply for graduation or graduation must go to the platform of China Higher Education Student Information Network (website:/) to inquire about their student status information. If the information of student status is incorrect, please give a written feedback before March 15. College summary, reported to the graduate school training office. If the information is not reported, it is considered accurate.
(two) review of academic achievements in applying for doctoral and master's degrees.
1. According to the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Doctoral Master's Degree Awarding of Southwest University, the basic requirements for applying for a doctoral degree are formulated by the training unit according to the first-level discipline or professional degree category, and implemented after being reviewed and filed by the academic degree evaluation committee of the school and audited by the training unit and the graduate school; The basic requirements for applying for a master's degree are formulated by the second-level training unit according to the first-level discipline, and implemented after being audited and filed by the academic degree evaluation committee of the school, and audited by the training unit.
2. If the degree application is published later than the review submission time, the dissertation can be reviewed first.
(3) Check the degree (graduation) thesis.
1, the degree (graduation) thesis must be tested for paper repetition rate, and the doctoral thesis should not be higher than 10%, and the master thesis should not be higher than 20%. Papers that fail to pass the repetition rate test or papers with repetition rate higher than the specified proportion cannot enter the paper review link.
2. Requirements for repeated inspection
Electronic document of degree (graduation) thesis (full version, including information of students and tutors) is sent to; Naming method of electronic documents: student number-major-name.
(1) Deadline for doctors to check the weight: April 2.
(2) Deadline for master's duplicate checking: April 9th.
(4) Those who fail the exam and fail to pay tuition, accommodation and other fees cannot participate in the defense.

4. Before the doctoral thesis defense
The doctoral dissertation is pre-defended, and the respondent should fill in the Application Form for Pre-defended Doctoral Dissertation of Southwest University (downloaded from the home page of the Graduate School and submitted before February 26th).
Time before reply: March 13 (Saturday) at 8: 30 am (tentative).
Place of defense: A203 School of Economics and Management (tentative).
The materials submitted before the defense need to be notified separately.
Five, degree (graduation) thesis review
(1) The graduation thesis review is organized by the college, in accordance with the Regulations on the Training of Full-time Academic Doctoral Postgraduates in Southwest University (Trial) (Xijiao [20 13] 159) and the Regulations on the Training of Full-time Academic Postgraduates in Southwest University (Trial) (Xijiao [20/kloc-)
(2) All doctoral and master's dissertations are subject to "double-blind review".
1. The doctoral thesis is reviewed by the "Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development of the Ministry of Education" entrusted by the school; The deadline for submitting doctoral thesis in spring semester of 2002/KLOC-0 is April 6th. Those who fail to submit after the specified time will be automatically postponed to the next semester.
2. The review of doctoral and master's dissertations of foreign students is organized and implemented by the college, and the deadline for submitting theses is April 12.
(3) Requirements for review and submission of doctoral dissertations:
1. The paper must conceal the author's name, tutor's name, school name and other identification contents, and remove the "header", "postscript" and "thanks".

Sixth, thesis defense
(A) thesis defense
In strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures for the Evaluation and Defense of Postgraduate Dissertations of Southwest University (Xijiao [2020] No.331).
(two) a separate graduation thesis defense
The defense of a separate graduation thesis consists of more than 5 (odd number) peer experts with senior professional and technical positions, and the defense procedure is the same as that of the dissertation. After the graduation thesis defense is passed, submit the graduation defense materials (graduation thesis, graduation application, etc.) separately. ) to the college.
Seven. Revision report of degree thesis
In order to further strengthen the quality control of dissertations, the filing system of revision reports is implemented for doctoral and master dissertations. After pre-defense, review and defense, the dissertation is revised according to the expert's suggestion, and the "dissertation revision report" is submitted respectively. A master's degree thesis that does not need to be pre-defended shall be submitted with two-stage thesis revision reports after review and defense.
After the pre-defense, the thesis revision report must be submitted to the college together with the degree thesis submitted for review; After the pre-defense, the paper revision report and the reviewed paper revision report must be sent to the defense Committee experts for review in advance together with the dissertation. Whether to adopt the opinions of previous experts reasonably and make corresponding amendments to the thesis will be an important reference for the formation of defense resolutions, and instructors and students must attach great importance to it. After the defense, the revision report of the paper must be submitted to the college for the record together with the final paper.
The graduation thesis revision report shall be implemented with reference to the graduation thesis revision report.
Eight, the time and requirements for the submission of blind comments:

Receive the graduation thesis review book, fill in the self-evaluation part, and name the review book: name-major.
(3) Form of submission for review
All papers are submitted in electronic form. Electronic text of dissertations in pdf format should be submitted, and the naming method: Name-Major.
(2) thesis defense (only for those who passed the blind evaluation):
Both doctors and masters should submit six defense papers (including review and revision reports) one week before the defense.
(3) Papers submitted by schools and colleges (revised according to the suggestions of the defense committee within 5 days after the defense is completed): 3 doctoral students; 2 graduate students. At the same time, electronic documents of full-text dissertations (PDF format) are provided, and the naming method is as follows: 10635_ Second discipline code _ student number _ student name _LW.
Nine, degree (graduation) thesis defense time (tentative)
1. The defense time for doctoral thesis is: 8:30 am on May 15.
2. The defense time of master's degree thesis is 8: 30 am on May 22nd.

X. Selected excellent papers
In strict accordance with the selection conditions and procedures stipulated in the Administrative Measures for the Selection of Excellent Dissertations for Postgraduates of Southwest University (No.388 of Xi 'an Jiaotong University [2016]), we recommend participating excellent dissertations to the academic committees of departments under the discipline.
