The School of Materials and Chemical Engineering of Hainan University was established in 2007, and now it is formed by the merger of the former Institute of Technology of South China University of Tropical Agriculture and the Institute of Technology of Hainan University. School of Materials and Chemical Engineering is located in Haidian Campus of Hainan University, with full-time undergraduate students 1695 and master students 100. The college has five majors: chemical engineering and technology, bioengineering, materials science and engineering, applied chemistry and polymer materials and engineering.
