In the Ming Dynasty, especially after Zhu Yuanzhang killed the Prime Minister Hu, everything was borne by Liang Wudi himself. As a result, the workload increased day by day, and he had to set up a college student in the temple pavilion to be the secretary of the emperor. At first, he had no real power, but served as the secretary and assistant of the emperor. However, the later emperors were less diligent than Liang Wudi, and the power of university students became greater and greater. Although the official position is only a formal subject, its status is respected, and the Record of the Grand Bachelor is basically equivalent to the prime minister of the past.

The names of college students should be preceded by the names of the halls and libraries, and the number is six. At first, the Ming dynasty college students * * * "four pavilions" and "two pavilions". Four halls, Zhongjitang University (formerly Gaihuatang), Jianjitang University (formerly Shenshentang), Wenhua University and Wuyingtang University. Two cabinets, Wen Yuan Cabinet University and East Cabinet University. In the Qing Dynasty, it was called "Grand Master of Zhonghe Hall", "Grand Master of Baohe Hall", "Grand Master of Wenhua Hall", "Grand Master of Wuying Hall", "Grand Master of Wenyuange" and "Grand Master of Dongge".

During the Qianlong period, it was changed to "Zhonghe Hall"

The "great scholars" are the "great scholars in Tijen Pavilion" and become "three halls and three pavilions".

In terms of grade, college students are all the same, all authentic, and their actual status will be slightly different. After the cancellation of Zhonghedian University, among Diange University, Baohedian is the most distinguished, and few people can get it. Fu Heng got a bachelor's degree in Baohe Hall after the abolition of Zhonghe Hall in the 13th year of Qianlong. From the death of Fu Heng in the 35th year of Qianlong to the Qing Dynasty, no one got a bachelor's degree in Baohe Hall.

Among the six university students, before the Zhonghe Hall was abolished in the 13th year of Qianlong, the order of status was: Zhonghe Hall, Baohe Hall, Wenhua Hall, Wuying Hall, Wenyuan Pavilion and Dongge Pavilion. Later, it became: Baohe Hall, Wenhua Hall, Wuying Hall, Wenyuan Pavilion, Dongge Pavilion and Tijen Pavilion. Most college students moved from Tijen Pavilion to Wenhua Hall. Of course, it doesn't have to start with Tijen Pavilion.

At the beginning, the Diange University in the Qing Dynasty also had the Zhonghe Hall, which was located above the Baohe Hall. In the Qing Dynasty, only four people, Jueluo Bahana, Jin Zhijun, Tu Hai and Ba Tai, obtained bachelor's degrees in Zhonghe Hall. After the death of Tu Hai in the 20th year of Kangxi, the Zhonghe Hall was abolished in the 13th year of Qianlong, and no one was added as a university student. After the removal of Zhonghe Hall, Tijen Pavilion was added, forming a symmetrical situation of three halls and three pavilions.

Bachelor's degrees can be vacant, and it is not necessary to award all six. And from the actual situation, it is the most common situation of four bachelors.
