The teaching of architectural structure and architectural drawing is integrated into the course of design studio. Architectural structure, art training and graphic design courses also work closely with design studio courses.

The course of design studio emphasizes modernity and ontological thinking, as well as the ability of space formation and architectural methods in design. Encourage students to rely on rational analysis and experience in the design process, and use working models and computer simulation models to assist the design.

The theme studio recently included in the course is a new feature of this project. The theme studio is held once a year, trying to provide a platform for theoretical and avant-garde design research.

There are currently 37 teachers in the Department of Architecture, including 9 professors, 9 associate professors 19 and 9 lecturers, all from well-known schools at home and abroad. Most teachers have international experience in studying, working and traveling abroad. Four teachers graduated from foreign universities. The department also reserves a teaching position for foreign teachers every year.

At present, the department enrolls 320 students, mainly from Guangdong Province and one foreign student.

The department also enjoys good teaching facilities. The newly completed college complex provides spacious space. Department Library has collected more than 35,000 books and 2 10 kinds of Chinese and foreign architectural and related magazines since the 1980s.
