Shanghai Mechanical and Electrical Workers College was formerly known as "72 1 Staff University" named by Chairman Mao, and was founded in 1968. It is a public adult college with science and engineering as the main part. 198 1 year was transformed into Shanghai Mechanical and Electrical Industry Workers College. It was jointly founded by the former Staff University of the First Electromechanical Bureau and eight Staff Universities of light industrial machinery company, electrical company, metallurgical company, stone company, motor company, machine tool company and bearing company.
The general school is located in the former Vocational University of Light Industry Machinery Company (No.540 Yuexiu Road). The former Vocational College of Light Industry Machinery, Vocational College of Electrical Engineering, Vocational College of Metallurgy, Vocational College of WorldCom and Vocational College of Bureau were successively designated as close-knit headquarters, with the first, second, third and fourth branches, while the former Vocational College of Electrical Machinery, Vocational College of Machine Tool and Vocational College of Bearing were loose branches. The teaching business and student status of each branch school are managed by the general school, but the people, talents and materials of the loose branch school are still managed by the company, and the close branch school is managed by the general school.
