Introduction: The Pediatric Hospital affiliated to Fudan University was established in 1952. It is a third-class first-class hospital deployed by the Ministry of Health. It is a comprehensive children's specialized hospital integrating medicine, teaching and research. It is a national key discipline of pediatrics, the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985" project construction unit, and was first authorized by the state to award master's and doctor's degrees in pediatrics.

Ethnicity

On April 1952, 17, with the approval of the Ministry of Health, the first hospital of China Red Cross, Ximen Women and Children Hospital Branch and Zhongshan Hospital, merged to form the Pediatric College of Shanghai First Medical College. On June 1955, it was renamed as Pediatric Hospital of Shanghai First Medical College, and later renamed as Pediatric Hospital of Shanghai Medical University.

Professor Chen, the first dean, took Ximen Women and Children Hospital Branch of Zhaojiabang Road (Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital) as the hospital site. 1953 A brand-new pediatric hospital was built in Fenglinqiao. 1954 moved into use in July.
