Tianjin University of Finance and Economics is a university, a key university in Tianjin, and an important base for training senior economic management talents in northern China. It is one of the earliest financial universities established in New China, and it is a multidisciplinary university focusing on economy and management.

Founded in 1958, based on the major of economic management of Nankai University, the school has gathered a group of experts and scholars with high reputation in the field of economic management from universities in North China and Northeast China. Formerly known as Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, in June 1969 10 was placed under the leadership of Tianjin and renamed Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics. On May 7, 2004, it was renamed Tianjin University of Finance and Economics with the approval of the Ministry of Education. After 60 years of construction and development, and through the hard struggle of generations of talents, the school has undergone tremendous historical changes and become an important base for cultivating senior economic management talents in Tianjin key university and northern China.

The school is located in the beautiful Bohai Sea. The campus is surrounded by green trees and lakes. Architectural landscape, human landscape and natural landscape are harmonious, elegant and pleasant. The school is located at No.25 Zhujiang Road, Hexi District, Tianjin, with Machang Road Campus. The school now covers an area of nearly10.4 million mu, with a total construction area of about 540,000 square meters, including the digital Shaw Library with 6,543.8+0.5 million books, the teaching building with 6,543.8+0.8 million square meters and the college apartment city with 6,543.8+0.6 million square meters.
