National english contest for college students is the only comprehensive English proficiency competition for college students in China approved by the Ministry of Education. The competition is divided into four groups: A, B, C and D.

Class A exam is suitable for graduate students; Class B exams are suitable for English majors and junior college students. Class C exam is suitable for non-English majors. Class D exams are suitable for undergraduates majoring in physical education and art and students in higher vocational colleges.

The full score of the initial test and the final written test is 150 (subjective questions account for 90 points and objective questions account for 60 points), of which listening accounts for 30 points. There may be an oral exam at the end of the term, with a full score of 50.
