On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Chongqing University, in order to deeply cherish the memory of Zheng Siqun, the statue unveiling ceremony of Zheng Siqun, the old president of Chongqing University, was held at 8: 30am on June 65438+1October 2009 in Minzhuhu Garden, the main city. Ou Keping, Party Secretary of Chongqing University, President Li Xiaohong, relatives of Zheng Siqun and old leaders who worked with him attended the unveiling ceremony. Zhang Siping, executive vice president of Chongqing University, presided over the unveiling ceremony.

First of all, Secretary Ou Keping made an opening speech for the bronze statue. In his speech, he recalled the ups and downs of Zheng Siqun's old principal's life. During the tenure of the old president, the development of Chongqing University is changing with each passing day, and the old president has made indelible contributions to the great development. Subsequently, Secretary Ou Keping and President Li Xiaohong jointly unveiled the statue. When the statue slowly appeared in front of everyone, President Zheng's firm eyes were fixed on this land he loved deeply, as if full of infinite hope for it.

Later, President Zheng's daughter recalled her father's stormy life with mixed feelings, and the truth remained forever. Father was buried in this rippling democratic lake, silently watching the great development, which is also a different spiritual belonging. Finally, the daughters of Secretary Ou Keping, the principal, the vice principal and President Zheng presented flowers to the old principal.

Throughout the legendary life of the old headmaster Zheng Siqun, he would rather fight for a broken life than for Waquan.
