Basic introduction of Belarusian State University;

Belarusian State University (BSU for short) was founded in 192 1, located in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. It is a world-leading public research university with a history of 100 years, and it is also the top public research university in Europe. It is a member of the European Association of Universities, the International Financial and Economic Union and the United Nations Trade Development Union, and is the highest institution with the qualification of a national university in Belarus.

During the Soviet period, Belarusian State University, together with Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University and Kiev State University, was known as the four national universities in the Soviet Union and was one of the top universities in the CIS countries.

Belarusian State University has 27 departments and more than 60 scientific research institutions. Its physics and computer science enjoy a world reputation, among which physics and mathematics rank first in Europe.
