The Role of Social Practice in College Students' Employment
According to statistics, the number of college graduates in 2009 and unemployed college students in recent years has reached more than 10 million. In such a severe employment situation, in order to stand out in employment, college students should first improve their abilities, which are professional ability, market ability and innovation ability. Actively participate in social practice activities, gain more work experience and practical experience, and make social practice realize the maximum value in employment.
First, the purpose of social practice
Practice is to apply the theoretical knowledge that students have learned in school to objective reality, so that what they have learned becomes useful. Facing the society, they are confused and don't know where to start, which greatly reduces the enthusiasm of college students to join the society. However, the social practice of most college students is only limited to the scope of curriculum practice and social investigation. The combination of theory and practice in education and teaching is not in place, and even becomes a mere formality. Social practice is the main way of college students' socialization, and ignoring practice will inevitably hinder college students' socialization.
Thirdly, enhance the socialization consciousness of college students in social practice.
College students' social practice is an important form of higher education. Through social practice, college students have increased their understanding of society, improved their practical ability and broadened their horizons. Therefore, on the basis of exploring the value of college students' social practice education, we should pay more attention to the role of social practice in college students' socialization and strengthen their socialization consciousness in social practice, so as to promote the socialization process of college students.
Fourth, social practice is an effective stage to improve the personal quality of college students.
The scene of social practice activities is a good environment for college students to cultivate their sentiments. Here, their spirit of striving for progress and continuous creation is excavated, their indomitable will is displayed, their attitude towards life of thrift and hard work is recognized by everyone, and their spirit of facing difficulties and striving for progress is seen by the society. When college students participate in more practical activities, they will gradually develop tough and tenacious qualities, develop pragmatic learning attitudes and lifestyles, and constantly improve themselves.
Fifth, the importance of social practice to the cultivation of college students' innovative ability and social practice ability.
1. Cultivate college students' innovative ability through social practice
Chinese students have been receiving traditional education for a long time.
