Law School of Sun Yat-sen University was founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen on 1924. Its history can be traced back to 1905, the undergraduate course of Guangdong University of Political Science and Law, and later Guangdong Law School.
Starting from 1980, the college began to recruit law undergraduates. The undergraduate course has set up three majors: law, economic law and international economic law. Since 1998, students have been enrolled by law major. In recent years, the quality of students has been in the forefront of all majors in the school, with 897 full-time undergraduates.
The continuing education in this college includes distance education, adult education, self-study exams and postgraduate courses. Among them, the college is the examiner of the law major of the self-taught examination in Guangdong Province. Since 1996, the college has held postgraduate courses, and thousands of students have graduated, and some of them have obtained master's degrees.
