Tongling Baiji Dolphin Reserve was established in September 2009, 1985, covering an area of 409 mu. The nature reserve is from Sanjiangkou in Zongyang County to Digang Town in Fanchang County, with a total length of 1 10 km. The nature reserve mainly protects the national first-and second-class protected animals in the Yangtze River basin, such as baiji, Chinese sturgeon, finless porpoise and mullet. On June 24, 2003, the State Environmental Protection Administration approved the reserve as the national key permanent wildlife protection center of the Yangtze River, covering 800 miles of Wanjiang River. She is also a life science teaching and research base of Anhui University, a popular science education base for teenagers, and a national AA-level tourist area. Because of its high-tech content, strong knowledge and interest, especially the "Water Cluster Pavilion" is lively and interesting, the "Botanical Herbarium" is various, the "Baiji Dolphin" is well-known at home and abroad, and the "finless porpoise" is charming, providing tourists with a good place for tourism, sightseeing and leisure.
