According to the data released by the Ministry of Education in 2022, by the end of 20021,there were 265 1 institutions of higher learning with bachelor's degree or above, including: 2 1 1 engineering colleges:1/2, double-class universities: There are also many higher education institutions such as ordinary undergraduate, adult higher education and vocational colleges.

According to the different types of education and school-running levels, China's higher education can be divided into undergraduate education, postgraduate education and doctoral education, and the number of educational institutions and institutions at different levels is also different. Problems and Challenges Faced by Higher Education in China
