The common research contents of Chinese language and literature are: graceful school, bold school and other literary schools, ancient poets such as Du Fu and Li Bai, and modern and contemporary writers such as Lu Xun and Zhu Ziqing. Compared with Chinese language, Chinese language and literature focuses on the cultivation and connotation of literature, while Chinese language focuses on language research.

This major trains Chinese language and literature compound talents who have a solid foundation in Chinese language and literature, good humanistic quality, are familiar with the basic knowledge of Chinese language and literature, have strong aesthetic ability and Chinese language expression ability, and have certain cross-cultural communication ability, and can engage in the work related to the use of Chinese language and literature in enterprises and institutions such as culture, education, publishing, media institutions and government agencies.
