You said it was a junior college (two-year university) level. You must prove that you have relevant knowledge. There doesn't seem to be one in China. There is no five-year system of high school and university in America. In this way, you can't prove that your five-year continuous study is a junior college level, but only a high school level.
GED didn't force you to study for a few years. If you think you can do it, you can take the exam; If you pass the exam, you can apply for a university.
For reference only, in North America, primary schools are called primary education; Junior high school and senior high school are called secondary education; Universities (whether two-year, four-year or five-year (medical law)) are called junior college education. After finishing high school, work first and then go to college. This is called higher education.
