China People's Liberation Army Military Engineering College, referred to as "Harbin Military Industry". General Chen Geng's first chairman and political commissar. Harbin Military Industry started the preparatory work on 1952, and held its first opening ceremony on 1 and 1953 in September. 1955 took shape at the beginning of the year, with five departments and one preparatory course: Air Force Engineering Department, Artillery Engineering Department, Naval Engineering Department, Armored Forces Engineering Department, Engineering Engineering Department and Preparatory Course. From 65438 to 0959, the Central Military Commission decided to change the training target of the college to military engineers engaged in research, design and manufacturing, and implemented the policy of concentrating cutting-edge specialties and dispersing conventional specialties.
Harbin military industry originated from the original "Military and Political University of the Second Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army". 1In June 1949, the Military and Political University of the Second Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army opened in Xiaolingwei, Nanjing (where Nanjing University of Science and Technology is now located). 1950 moved to Chongqing in June, and was renamed the Military and Political University of the Southwest Military Region, and later became the second advanced infantry school of the China People's Liberation Army. 1in June, 953, it was transferred to Harbin to form the people of China.
Harbin Military Industry has successively established 10 departments: Air Force Department (Xigong University), Artillery Department (Nanjing University of Science and Technology), Naval Department (Harbin Project), Armored Forces Department (Armored Forces Engineering College), Engineering Department (PLA Army Engineering University), Chemical Defense Department (Chemical Defense College), Atomic Department (National Defense Science and Technology University) and Missile Department.
