The Institute of Physical Education of Jimei University has experienced more than 40 years of reform and development. Its predecessor was Fujian Institute of Physical Education, 1958 was founded in Fuzhou, 1959 was transformed into Fujian Institute of Physical Education in September, and 1962 was closed. 197865438+February, Fujian Institute of Physical Education resumed its operation with the approval of the State Council. The reopened Fujian Institute of Physical Education is located in Jimei School Village, Xiamen, the hometown of overseas Chinese leader Chen Jiageng.
