How about Jilin University?
Both Jida and Huake merged, but the situation is different, because before the merger, Laojida was a first-class university in China, and its score was similar to that of Harbin Institute of Technology, but later some second-and third-rate universities merged into Jida, so now the threshold for admission scores of Jida has dropped. However, after the merger, although Jida became a bit bloated, its majors were uneven. The professional combination of other universities is just a name of Jida University, which is already poor, and now the score is still low. The ace majors of these key universities, such as chemical engineering, biology, vehicle engineering and neurology, Bethune Medical University, etc., still maintain a strong low position in the country as before, and are still difficult to test, but after the merger, some mixed brands share the title of Jida University with these majors. So you say that the admission score of Jida University is low. I admit that after the merger of Jida University, the score has indeed dropped a lot, but you can look at the score span of various majors in Jida University. The schools with low scores are those that came in later. If you say that the score of biochemistry major is low, I don't believe it. Of course, it may be because no one dared to report it last year, and Fudan just passed the key line of Jilin Province and there were not many scores. Because no one dared to report the results, in order to make up for the enrollment quota, the two scores were low. In addition, if you want to apply for these top universities in this city, you must look at the strength environment of this major in the whole city. A city's scientific and educational resources are all * * *, and the top universities will eventually represent a city's highest level in this major. How high can Jida chemistry achieve? You can see what foundation Changchun can provide for it. If Wuhan's overall scientific and educational strength is definitely stronger than that of Harbin and Changchun, of course, Harbin is stronger than Changchun, but only chemistry major, especially applied chemistry Changchun, is the strongest among the three cities. It's hard to say that any city in the country will be better than Changchun except Beijing. First of all, Jida, a leading college in Changchun, is a traditional strong school in this major and has the greatest reputation. Lao Jida's chemistry major was well-known among middle-aged people who took the college entrance examination that year. Changchun Huaying Research Institute is also the top scientific research institution in this field in China. Basically, the core technology in this field is undertaken by Changchun Huaying. If I remember correctly, there are two state key laboratories in Huaying, Changchun, and all two state key laboratories in this research. You can imagine how difficult it is. ...

Huake's material engineering can also be said to be a first-class discipline and a state key laboratory, but it still feels almost unfinished. Although the "professional titles" are first-class, Jida can be said to be the benchmark in this respect. In fact, materials and photoelectricity are not Wuhan's strong points, but in recent years, the country is willing to gradually shift its focus from the northeast to the south. It is one thing for the University of National Defense Technology to move to the south, but it is not the same. The latter is completely removed, while the former has a process of instruction and endogenous game. Changchun's strength in the chemical industry has naturally formed in the whole environment, including the industrial environment, since the Puppet Manchukuo era. Although the directive is particularly powerful in China, the present situation that Changchun's scientific research industrial structure and urban development layout in the chemical industry have been closely combined may be more vital.

Several industries that have the greatest relationship with chemistry, such as chemical industry, play another role in the integration of Changchun and Jilin. Jilin City is an important chemical industry base in China and is now becoming an important carbon fiber industry base in China. At present, many scientific and technological breakthroughs in the petrochemical industry are under way. In the northeast where Changchun is located, there are chemical bases such as Liaoyang and Dalian, which makes the northeast have the largest chemical industry and the largest petrochemical chemical research system in China. Of course, this also means the demand for talents. In addition, there are 15 medical bases in China and two in Jilin province-Changchun and Tonghua. Of course, these two cities are mainly biopharmaceuticals and traditional Chinese medicine, but as you know, medicine can't be separated from chemistry anyway, and Benxi, also located in the northeast, is known as "China Medicine Valley". Harbin Harbin Pharmaceutical Group in the north of Changchun is also an important pharmaceutical industry base, but the pharmaceutical industry in the northeast is not a pharmaceutical industry. Many industries in Northeast China, big or small, are responsible for OEM, and they are all integrated with R&D. The scale of pharmaceutical production in Northeast China may not be the highest, because the regional export is limited, but the R&D system should be strong. In addition to chemical medicine, there is also material engineering. In this regard, the downstream aerospace is also a big factory in Northeast China. Shenyang and Tianjin near the northeast are important aerospace manufacturing bases in China, and batteries, especially automobile rechargeable batteries, are also active provinces in this area. There are many enterprises in Changchun and Liaoyuan. Of course, I know that Wuhan, Xiangfan and other places in Hubei Province are also very active in this respect, but it is only this industry.

In a word, what I want to say is that chemistry is probably the least isolated among Jilin University and universities with strong chemical majors in China, because this discipline is holistic in Changchun, and its formation and development have gone through decades. It has academic collaboration like Changchun Huaying Institute, where the Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located, and the development of related industries in Jilin and even Northeast China provides nutrition and environment behind it. You will find that several industries closely related to chemistry basically have a complete layout around Changchun, just like Jida's deep tradition in chemistry, which has been formed for quite a long time. If these industries happen to be the strengths of Jilin and Northeast China, it may be the weaknesses of Hubei Province, not the strengths of Wuhan itself. Photoelectric materials have been transferred to Wuhan, but they have not taken root yet. To put it bluntly, there is no foundation. Of course, related industries will gradually prosper because of the shift of scientific research focus, just like the photoelectric industry now, but I still want to emphasize that, first, it takes time, and second, academics themselves have moved one of them to Wuhan, which is isolated rather than integrated. For example, Huake may only choose material engineering, but the chemistry of Jida University is complete, and you can develop in many aspects such as chemical industry and medical materials. Besides, there are creatures from Jida standing beside you. I don't recommend Jida to you because I'm from Jilin. It is true that the field of chemistry is intertwined in Jilin Province, and the formation and development of academic environment and industrial environment have gone through more time than others, and the present situation is more mature.
