Medical education in Zhengzhou University originated from Sun Yat-sen University in Henan in 1928, and Henan Medical College was established independently in 1952, which opened the precedent of medical higher education in Henan. The former Zhengzhou University, founded in 1956, is the first comprehensive university founded in New China. The 1 1 project is listed in the national "2 1996 project".
