Changsha University is two books. Changsha University was admitted to the second batch of undergraduate courses, so it is two universities. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Changsha University, developed from the former Changsha University (junior college), was founded in 1970. The school has a long history and originated from Changsha Revolutionary Committee Teacher Training Course, Changsha Basic University, Changsha University and other institutions. In 2004, it was upgraded to a full-time public undergraduate college, and implemented the system of "management by provinces and cities, with Changsha as the main management". Changsha University is a national demonstration base for innovation and entrepreneurship of practical education in colleges and universities, a master's degree awarding unit in Hunan Province, and an honorary title of "double-class" high-level applied characteristic college in Hunan Province. Adhering to the motto of "mechanics", the school advocates the ever-growing spirit of "respecting morality and seeking truth and doing practical work" and is committed to educating the party and the country. Changsha University adheres to the service orientation and is determined to build a high-level application-oriented local university with distinctive characteristics. In 2023, Changsha University ranked 328th among 1200 undergraduate universities in China.
