Achievements of School of Civil Engineering, Hunan University of Science and Technology
The college has undertaken more than 30 projects, including the National Self-taught Examination Fund, the Hunan Provincial Self-taught Examination Fund, the Hunan Provincial Construction Department, the Hunan Provincial Communications Department and the Hunan Provincial Education Department, and more than 50 horizontal scientific research projects, with a research funding of 20 million yuan. By the end of 20 10, the college has completed more than 40 major horizontal scientific research projects, such as construction control of Liancheng Bridge in Xiangtan, segmental test of Pingsheng Bridge in Foshan, Guangdong, static and dynamic analysis of Cao Mao Street Bridge in Dongting Lake, design of Qilin super-large building complex in Liupanshui, Guizhou, construction monitoring of Xinjiang Haihe Bridge in Nantong, Jiangsu, and research on active fault activity of Yangmeizhou-Muyu Lake in Xiangtan. Research on Key Technologies of Water Supply System in Ganxian County, Jiangxi Province and Advance Forecast of Tunnel Construction in Yongzhou Section of Luozhan Railway. A number of scientific and technological achievements won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress, the first prize of provincial scientific and technological progress, the second prize and the third prize respectively. Many scientific research achievements have reached the international advanced level, such as crack analysis and protection of concrete box girder, structural analysis and construction control of long-span bridge, sedimentary environment characteristics and allowable evaluation of water measuring group in Lengshuijiang mining area, and wind-rain vibration control of stay cables of cable-stayed bridge. Many achievements have been popularized and applied, such as high-performance concrete manhole cover plate. It has gradually formed its own characteristics in bridge structure analysis and construction control, structural vibration, underground structure, high performance concrete, structural damage identification, coal occurrence law in southern coalfields, distribution law of reefs and oil and gas reservoirs in southern China, geological disasters and environmental protection, and has certain social influence.
