South China University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, located in Guangzhou, a famous city in the south, covering an area of about 39 1 000 square meters. The campus is divided into three campuses. Wushan Campus is located in Shipai University District, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. Campus lakes and mountains, green trees and flowers, national architecture, modern architecture, profound cultural heritage. It was named "civilized campus" by the Ministry of Education.

The University Town Campus is located in Guangzhou University Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou. This is a modern campus with beautiful environment, advanced facilities, perfect management and innovative system. Guangzhou International Campus is located in Innovation City, Panyu District, Guangzhou, across the bank from Guangzhou University Town. The three campuses complement each other and are ideal places for students to study.

South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, was founded in 1952 during the adjustment of national universities. It was established on the basis of engineering departments and majors of Sun Yat-sen University, South China United University Institute of Technology, Lingnan University Institute of Technology and Guangdong Institute of Technology, and transferred to some engineering departments and majors of five universities, including Hunan University, Zhonghua University in Wuchang, Wuhan Jiaotong University, Nanchang University and Guangxi University. Renamed on 1988.
