Yang hu, a second-class professor at Chongqing University, was the former dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and was a doctoral supervisor. He graduated from the Mathematics Department of Sichuan University 1983, and was promoted from assistant professor in 1992 to professor in 1995. At present, he is a member of the Organizing Committee of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition, a member of the Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of Statistics Specialty of the Ministry of Education, a vice-chairman of China Field Statistics Research Association (1997-2005, 2009-), a member of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Competition Committee, an executive director of China Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society, a chairman of Chongqing Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society, an executive director of China National Statistical Society and a director of China Mathematical Society.
