China Ocean University (of, China, OUC), located in Shandong Province and Qingdao City, is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), ranking first-class in the country, 985 Project, 2 165438. Selected in "20 1 1 plan", "kloc-0/1plan", "strong foundation plan", "excellent engineer education and training plan", excellent agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan, national college students' innovative experiment plan, national postgraduate project of building high-level universities, and new engineering research and practice. [1] The school was formerly a private Qingdao University founded by 1924. 1930 was founded on the basis of Shandong University, Henan University, private Qingdao University and national Qingdao University. After 1958, the main body of Shandong University moved to Jinan, and Shandong Ocean College was established on the basis of the departments of oceanography, fisheries, geology and biology in March of 1959. 1960 was identified by the state as one of the national 13 key comprehensive universities. 1988 was renamed Qingdao Ocean University. In 2002, it was renamed China Ocean University. [1] As of February 2022, the school has four campuses, namely Laoshan, Yushan, Fushan and West Coast, covering an area of more than 5,200 mu; There are 1 department, 20 colleges and 1 basic teaching center, offering 75 undergraduate enrollment majors; There are postdoctoral mobile stations 15, first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees 18, three categories authorized by doctoral professional degrees, 35 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees and 25 categories authorized by master's professional degrees; There are 4025 faculty members, including 2096 full-time teachers; There are more than 34,000 students, including undergraduate students 1.66 million, graduate students 1.39 million, 3,000 doctoral students and 480 foreign students.
