What do you think is involution of college students?
For contemporary college students, the word involution is no stranger. Involution is actually internal competition. The general idea is that the development of social and cultural patterns is stagnant. Nowadays, many college students use involution to refer to irrational internal competition, which is similar to supporting each other and fighting each other.

Now the main group of involution is college students, and involution can be said to spread to all aspects of life. Wear an extra pair of autumn trousers when it is cold in winter, and stay up late for students preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination, just to compete for landing and harvest the future. Speaking of "involution", the earliest "source" is a few pictures of famous schools. Several "involution" pictures of college students exploding their circle of friends are like this: some people are writing books by bike, some dormitory beds are full of books, and some people even write papers by computer while riding bicycles. These photos were first circulated among the principals of Tsinghua Peking University. Later, popular words such as "watching computer while riding a bike" and "Tsinghua Wang Juan" appeared in hot searches, and related emoticons also appeared in many social software for college students. And college students seem to take involution for granted. In today's social environment, too many single rigid evaluation criteria and high-quality social resources have become the fuse leading to college students' involution.

My view of involution is:

First, in my opinion, involution is not a bad thing, but there is a limit to everything. Once it exceeds one degree, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Proper involution can make people forge ahead and become a better self. Competition is the norm, but when it develops, it always wants to compare with others. "If you want to do scientific research, it is more important for someone to send more papers; Want to play clubs, some people have higher interest and higher professional level; Looking for a job, some people have accumulated more certificates and experience on their resumes. When you ignore your true orientation and value pursuit, I'm afraid it's a kind of abnormal psychology, and even reflects the embarrassment of some college students' vague orientation, empty goals and lack of energy. Going with the flow, I don't know the direction I should really work hard. It seems that I am very busy, but I find that I can't compare with others in many places, which inevitably leads to loss and dissatisfaction. The so-called "involution" appeared.

This state of "extension without connotation development" is actually the unprovoked consumption of energy and spiritual wandering. In the face of competition, many college students only seek short-term and quick results, lacking the courage and perseverance to accumulate thousands of miles. Such a life is far from a sense of accomplishment and gain, let alone becoming a talent needed by society. The road of life is a process of "repeated game". If you lack the will to temper, the pursuit of interests, the spirit of sitting on the bench and enduring loneliness, you can only fall into depression and become more and more involved in self-pity. As the news said, competition already exists. If you want to go higher, you have to work harder than others.

2. From my observation, the involution of some college students is of course related to pressure, but from a deeper level, I think it is not really upward pressure, including vanity and showing off mentality. For example, superficial things such as the so-called "certificate" are considered "excellent". It can be said that under the "grade point is king", the involution of some college students is likely to be a carefully calculated gain and loss and utilitarian calculation, for fear that others will gain more external "honor" than themselves, which is by no means a real healthy competition, and it is not to strive for the future without regrets. We often say that we should keep our feet on the ground and look up at the stars. But when only others get the "certificate" and "scholarship", it is desire that banishes the ideal and utilitarianism distorts the belief. In the long run, I'm afraid I can only wander in the mud of short-term interests, and then forget what learning is for and what life is for ... This is a pity.

Third, after entering the university, more and more excellent people appear around, and the definition of Excellence is no longer good academic performance and good discipline in high school. The definition of Excellence is becoming more and more diversified, such as knowing skills, singing and dancing, playing musical instruments, having a good personality, having many friends and working hard. We always want to be better than others, but we forget that there are people outside and there are days behind. You choose to engage in scientific research, and others are just better at writing papers than you. You choose acting skills, others can sing and dance better, more beautiful and more eye-catching. I want to play clubs, but others are more interested and professional. I want to work hard, but others have more resumes and certificates than you.

Fourth, in fact, involution in my eyes is nothing more than selling anxiety, which, like appearance anxiety, destroys the confidence and belief of college students. Competition is not quantity competition. Instead of getting involved, we should try our best to see the "involution", treat it correctly and get rid of it.

For college students, coping style is more important.

First of all, find your own position

College students should have a clear understanding and reasonable positioning of their social roles. They should not pursue excessive quick success and instant benefit, let alone regard their talents as an "involution". Instead, we should keep in mind the mission of the times, cultivate the excellent character of pursuing truth and aiming high, consciously integrate personal ideals into social ideals, link personal future with the destiny of the motherland and the people, be ambitious, firm in faith and make contributions to the country.

Second, think about your future.

When students feel extremely anxious under the pressure of involution, they might as well slow down and think about what they need, what they are suitable for and what to do next.

Third, learn to "fish" properly.

Working in an involution environment, there are those who bravely refuse involution, and some who are too timid to refuse. "Suitable for fishing" is in a balanced position between "trying to involute" and "passive".

But you can't fish all the time, but you need to adjust your mentality and give up some unnecessary entanglements when fishing.

Fourth, jump out of the involution and find a comfortable circle.

Involution is not suitable for everyone. Those who are not suitable for involution can try to jump out of this muddy water and find a more suitable employment method. Also let yourself have more lifestyles.

5. Reject the wrong idea

Don't participate ≠ don't work hard, don't bring yourself into "don't participate = don't work hard", abandon these wrong concepts, don't judge others at will, don't trust others' judgments at will, and don't care about these.

Finally, it should be emphasized that involution is hard, but anti-involution is by no means fishing or lying flat. On the contrary, the more anti-involution people are, the more they should keep learning and study for life. In the final analysis, your success depends almost only on your efforts, and the judgment of others can't accelerate your success or stop your progress. Where do you spend the most precious time in your life compared to joining the involution army? This is what you should pay attention to.

I hope all college students can spend the most suitable stage in their lives on campus, and don't do nothing every day. Be what you want to be, not lose yourself because of anxiety. I hope every student can become the person he wants to be and live the life he wants.
