Leshan Teachers College, founded in 1978, is a provincial undergraduate normal college. It is located in Leshan City, the hometown of Guo Moruo, a world cultural celebrity, and the location of the world's dual natural and cultural heritage. It is connected with Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, by an expressway, only 100 kilometers. The school is located on the Dadu River in Leshan City, facing Leshan Giant Buddha across the river in the east and Emei Mountain in the west. The campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with lush trees and beautiful environment, which is an ideal place for study and research.
There are more than 600 full-time teachers in the school, including 45 professors, 34 associate professors 148, 34 part-time professors, 207 doctors and masters, 5 experts who enjoy government subsidies in the State Council, and 2 young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions in Sichuan.
