L whether the individual's major and academic qualifications meet the requirements for entering the examination
A) Students or graduates with a bachelor's degree in "Clinical Medicine" are eligible to take the USMLE exam.
B) The undergraduate course is a major whose study content is very similar to clinical medicine, such as maternal and child health care, Chinese and Western medicine, medical imaging, anesthesia, pediatrics, etc. If it is not a "bachelor of medicine", it will definitely not be admitted; If so, the case may need to be reviewed by ECFMG (Education Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates).
C) The undergraduate course is not clinical medicine, and the graduate students are clinical medicine, so they are not qualified for the examination; If the undergraduate course is clinical medicine, it will pass the exam.
D) Preventive medicine, pharmacy, nursing, biomedicine and medical engineering are not eligible to participate in USMLE.
There are more than 80 medical schools/KLOC-0 with examination qualifications in China. ECFMG mainly evaluates medical students who have a professional degree in clinical medicine and have studied for more than 4 years, and the courses are in line with clinical medicine.
There is little difference in the recognition of medical colleges in China by American doctors; As long as medical education can pass ECFMG certification, there is little difference between medical schools ranked 1 in China and those ranked 100. So USMLE is a new equal starting line for all medical students.
