The size of a school is not a necessary condition to measure the quality of a university. Jilin University is probably one of the universities with the largest number of students in our country, far exceeding Tsinghua. Can you say it must be better than Tsinghua? Caltech has fewer than 3000 students. Who can say that it is not one of the few famous schools in the world? MIT, Princeton University and Rice University are all very small, with more than eleven thousand students in MIT and five or six thousand students in the other two universities. But its strength and influence are unmatched by any university in China. Universities are not big, but specialized and strong.
