Hebei University of Technology is a university.
The predecessor of Hebei University of Technology is Beiyang Technical School, which was founded in 1903. It is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China to train industrial talents, and founded the earliest university-run factory in China. 1929 was renamed Hebei Institute of Technology, and 1995 was renamed Hebei University of Technology. School 1996 ranks among the first batch of "2 1 1 Project" key construction universities in China; 20 14 was undertaken by Hebei Province, Tianjin City and Ministry of Education; 20 17 was selected as a "double first-class" construction university in China.
Since 1 18, the school has always adhered to the tradition of "prospering the country and serving the country" and the spirit of "diligence, prudence and loyalty", and has formed the school-running characteristic of "combining work with study", which has trained more than 300,000 outstanding graduates for the country. The school's national specialties are: applied physics, polymer materials and engineering, electrical engineering and automation, metal materials engineering, chemical engineering and technology, mechanical design and manufacturing and automation.

Hebei University of Technology is a university jointly established by Hebei Provincial People's Government, Tianjin Municipal People's Government and China Ministry of Education. It ranks among the national "double first-class" universities and the national "2 1 1 project" key universities. The school is located in Beichen District, Tianjin. The motto of Han Xu, the current Party Secretary, is "Diligence and Public Loyalty".
As of May 3, 2022, the school has 2 1 teaching institutions, 10 postdoctoral research mobile stations, 1 1 first-class doctoral degree authorized disciplines, 26 first-class master degree authorized disciplines, and 17 professional degree categories. There are 62 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering seven disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and art, with more than 2,800 faculty members.
