Zhejiang Ocean University is a university jointly founded by the people of China, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is also a key university established by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and Zhoushan Municipal People's Government. The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Zhoushan Fisheries College. 1982 became one of the first universities in China to award bachelor's degrees. It was renamed Zhejiang Ocean University on 20 16. Its marine science discipline ranks fifth in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education.
Zhejiang Ocean University, referred to as "Zhehaida" for short, is located in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It has been selected as the first batch of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan in China, a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, a member of South-South Cooperation Agricultural Education Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, and a member of China-Central and Eastern Europe "16+ 1" National University Federation.
By September of 2002 1, Zhejiang Ocean University had1/secondary colleges,1independent colleges and 48 undergraduate majors, including 5 national first-class undergraduate majors, 2 national characteristic majors, 4 provincial first-class undergraduate majors and 9 provincial key majors.
As of September, 2002 1 year, Zhejiang Ocean University has two national majors, four dominant majors in Zhejiang Province, nine provincial key majors, six emerging majors in the province, one national pilot program for the education and training of outstanding talents in agriculture and forestry, one national experimental teaching demonstration center, and 6544 national off-campus practical education bases for college students.
