Conditions for running a school: The Department of Educational Technology now has four majors, namely, undergraduate major in educational technology, intelligent educational software and system, educational equipment technology, educational informatization performance technology and knowledge engineering. It has distinctive features in intelligent educational software, educational management and decision-making, and the development of teaching equipment. It is an important base for training professionals and teachers in education, training and related fields in Beijing. The department has a key laboratory of modern educational technology, more than a dozen teaching laboratories, professional laboratories, media and film production laboratories and training centers, which provide a good environment for students of the department to study, study and apply.

Faculty: There are more than 30 professional teachers and experimenters in the Department of Educational Technology, of which more than one third are teachers with senior titles or doctorates. Teachers of our department have presided over or participated in many national and Beijing scientific research projects, and many scientific research achievements have won national or Beijing awards. Many teachers have won prizes or given keynote speeches at international and domestic conferences. In addition, our department has long hired famous experts and scholars at home and abroad to teach, co-train graduate students or hold lectures and distinguished professor positions, so as to continuously improve the academic level and influence.

Student Training: The Department of Educational Technology has always attached importance to the cultivation of students' ideological and moral education and scientific and humanistic quality, and encouraged students to learn basic theories, develop excellent skills and give back to the country and society in various forms.

The main courses of undergraduate students in our department are mainly young and middle-aged teachers who are active in the front line of teaching and scientific research. Quite a few teachers have experience in developing large-scale information systems and project management in different fields. The close combination of academic research and social needs makes students have the opportunity to participate in high-level scientific research or practical project development and exercise from the lower grades. On this basis, offering various rich and distinctive elective courses for senior students can not only meet the needs of social development and technological progress, but also exercise students' comprehensive quality and practical ability. The students not only have a good theoretical foundation and humanistic quality, but also have solid information engineering skills, so they have strong adaptability and competitiveness, and can be competent for various theoretical and policy research, management and maintenance, application development and other aspects related to social informatization (especially educational informatization).
