The evaluation results are presented in the form of "grading". The specific method is to announce the top 70% of the subjects in nine grades according to the percentile of the "overall level score of subjects": the top 2% (or the top 2) is A+, 2% ~ 5% is A (excluding 2%, the same below), and 5% ~ 10% is A.
The purpose of publishing the evaluation results is to provide objective information for participating units to understand the strengths and weaknesses of disciplines, promote discipline construction and improve the quality of postgraduate training, and provide reference for students to choose disciplines and majors.

The school was formerly Qiushi College, which was founded in 1897 and named as National Zhejiang University in 1928. 1937 Zhejiang university moved westward, running schools in Zunyi and Meitan, Guizhou, and 1946 moved back to Hangzhou in the autumn. From 65438 to 0952, some departments of Zhejiang University were placed under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other universities, and the main part was reorganized into several universities in Hangzhou, which later developed into the original Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University. 1998, four universities with the same roots merged to form the new Zhejiang University.
