Chiba University is a national comprehensive university in Japan, with a complete range of disciplines and 10 colleges, including the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Law and Economics, the Faculty of Science, the Medical College, the Pharmaceutical College, the Nursing College, the Engineering College, the Yusu College and the Department of Education.

The technical college consists of design engineering, urban environmental system, electronic and mechanical engineering, information and portrait engineering and material engineering. The Department of Industrial Design, a design engineering discipline, consists of lectures by industrial designers and lectures by conveying designers.

The lecture on industrial master planning includes five professional research fields: ergonomics, material planning, design system planning, product design and environmental design.

Communication artists' lectures include four professional research fields: design culture planning, design modeling, visual communication design and design psychology.
