Adult college entrance examination, referred to as adult college entrance examination, is an entrance examination for adult colleges and universities in China to select qualified graduates to enter higher-level academic education. It belongs to the national education series, is included in the national enrollment plan, participates in the national enrollment examination, and is accepted by all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government.

Adult higher education, general higher education and higher education self-study examination are collectively referred to as national education series higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. Adult college entrance examination is divided into three levels: junior college entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as junior college entrance examination), senior college entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as senior high school entrance examination) and senior high school entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as senior high school entrance examination). The forms of study after admission include correspondence, amateur and full-time study. Mainly the first two forms, only a few adult colleges and universities are full-time study.

Education: In 2005, adult colleges and universities still stopped enrolling students with second major diplomas without examination. Candidates are required to take the national unified entrance examination for adult colleges and universities, and the number of students enrolled should be included in the enrollment plan of the enrollment school in the current year.

The Cooperation Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Academic Degrees, Degrees and Diplomas signed by the Ministry of Education of China and Quebec has come into effect. This is the first mutual recognition agreement between China and North American countries. After the signing of the agreement, the academic qualifications obtained by international students studying in Quebec will be recognized after returning home, and the conversion of credits will gradually form a unified standard. Moreover, the entrance examination qualifications that were not recognized in principle before will be gradually recognized after passing the evaluation of relevant Canadian institutions.

The entrance examination has a college degree and a bachelor degree. Those who have a bachelor's degree can also apply for a bachelor's degree if they meet certain conditions.
