University of Southampton:

Southampton is a coastal port city in southern England, and it takes only one hour to get to the capital London by train. Southampton University (Thornton) with a long history was founded as Hartley College in 1862, funded by local philanthropist Mr. Hartley, and later became an affiliated college of University of London in 1902. 19 19 moved to Heidfeld campus and changed its name to Hartley University College. 1952 was chartered by the royal family and officially renamed Southampton University.

Southampton University, as a comprehensive university, ranked UK 15 in RAE in 2008, UK 16 in 2013/4qs and 86th in the world.

The school's teaching scope covers all major academic fields, and it has a group of excellent teaching and research personnel in some leading disciplines. While providing first-class opportunities and facilities for teaching and research, the school has also created an environment to encourage competition. The school has more than 20,000 students and nearly 5,000 faculty members. There are many campuses in and around Southampton.
