On the morning of March 2, the appointment ceremony of Academician Lei Qingquan was held in the academic lecture hall of the Key Laboratory of Rubber and Plastic Materials and Engineering Education Department. Professor Ma Lianxiang, President of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and teachers and students from some colleges such as the Institute of Materials attended the appointment ceremony, which was presided over by Lu Wanxiang, Director of Personnel Department. President Ma Lianxiang presented a letter of appointment to Academician Lei Qingquan and hired Academician Lei Qingquan as distinguished professor of our school. Academician Lei Qingquan is the fifth double-hired academician in our school.
Ma Lianxiang said in his speech that Academician Lei Qingquan is not only knowledgeable, but also has high prestige in the field of electrical materials, and is also a model for us to learn how to be a man and how to learn. He hoped that teachers and students would learn from Academician Lei and strive to achieve sound and rapid development of the school.
Academician Lei Qingquan said that Qingdao University of Science and Technology has a good research foundation in polymer materials and nanomaterials. In the future, we will try our best to promote the progress and development of scientific research in our school in combination with our own research direction. In his speech, the dean of the School of Materials said that the teachers and students of the School of Materials will fully cooperate with the work of Academician Lei and learn from Academician Lei seriously to further improve the teaching and scientific research level of materials science and engineering.
After the appointment ceremony, Academician Lei Qingquan gave an academic report entitled "How to understand the urgency, frontier and long-term nature of nanotechnology in improving the insulation quality of power equipment" and had a discussion with some young teachers.
Brief introduction of Academician Lei Qingquan:
Lei Qingquan, academician of China Academy of Engineering, is an expert in thermal insulation technology. Born in Nanchong, Sichuan. 1962 graduated from Xi Jiaotong University. At present, he is Professor harbin university of science and technology, doctoral supervisor, and chairman of the Engineering Dielectric Professional Committee of China Institute of Electrotechnics.
Professor Lei Qingquan has been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of basic theory and its application of high voltage and insulation specialty, paying attention to its intersection with electronic information and nanotechnology. He has presided over the completion of the Ninth Five-Year Plan scientific and technological key project 1, 3 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and key projects 1. At present, it has undertaken many national "973" projects 1, key projects of National Natural Science Foundation 1 and other provincial and ministerial scientific research projects1. By using thermally induced current technology, many innovative achievements have been made in studying the movement law of electrons in insulating polymers, evaluating the electrical aging resistance and guiding the modification of materials, reaching the leading domestic and international advanced level. A new method for preparing novel polyquinone free radical polymer powder materials by polycondensation was invented, and a new conductive law was found. The original and innovative pressure-temperature dual-parameter sensor has been made, which has solved many technical problems that semiconductor polymer powder materials have not been applied in the sensor field for a long time, and has become a pioneer in this field, making great contributions to promoting its technological progress. This project won the second prize of 200 1 national technological invention.
Professor Lei Qingquan has profound academic attainments and has published six translated works, four of which were published by Science Press. It has been recognized by domestic experts and has become a leading figure in domestic engineering dielectric academic circles.
