The School of History and Politics has gathered many academic sages. Su Qingyun, Yao Gongshu, Li, Zhou Chunyuan, Wang, Xiang Yingjie, Wu Yannan, Wang, Geng Hongjiang, Zhang Xiangguang, Luo Yujiu and many other well-known scholars have taught in our school. Over the past decades, the college has trained tens of thousands of graduates, many of whom have become outstanding talents on the education front in Guizhou Province, and some have become well-known scholars and senior leading cadres of the Party. Famous ones include Huang Yao, former deputy secretary of Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, Qiu Guanjian, secretary of Wuhan University of Technology Party Committee, Li Shian, doctoral supervisor of China Renmin University, and Xu Yuhua, doctoral supervisor of Fudan University.

At present, the College is actively exploring new ways to develop connotation and extension synchronously, insisting on student-oriented, discipline construction as the leader, education and teaching as the center, and scientific research as the driving force, laying a solid foundation for the leap-forward development of the College.
