The Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College was established in 1984. It is the first batch of medical key disciplines (neurology) in Zhejiang Province, the third batch of key disciplines of Zhejiang Provincial Government, the national drug clinical research base (neurology) approved in 200 1, the first batch of specialist (neurology) training base units of the Ministry of Health, and the director unit of the provincial neuropharmacology epidemiological research center. In 2003, it obtained the master's degree in neurology from Wenzhou Medical College. In 2006, a joint doctoral program was launched with King's University of England, and a green channel for postgraduate and doctoral studies was opened. In 2007, it was awarded the title of "National Demonstration Post of Women's Civilization" and a provincial-level excellent course (Neurology).
