In 2006, North China Electric Power University took the lead in setting up the specialty of wind energy and power engineering for the first time in China, enrolling 3 1 undergraduate. In addition to setting up wind power specialty, other universities participate in the research of wind power technology in various forms. In 2005, Beijing Jiaotong University listed energy as one of the emerging interdisciplinary subjects. In 2006, Beijing Experimental Station of National Wind Energy Engineering Technology Research Center and New Energy Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University were established. This testing station is the first wind power engineering technology testing station established in China, and it is the first intermediary institution serving domestic and foreign wind power investors and equipment suppliers. In addition, Tsinghua University Institute of Nuclear Energy and New Energy, Shenyang University of Technology Institute of Wind Technology and other wind power research institutions have undertaken many major projects and made many scientific research achievements in the design and manufacture of large-scale wind power generation equipment, forming an important scientific research force in colleges and universities.
