North China University of Science and Technology, referred to as North China University of Science and Technology, is located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. It is a provincial key university and a national first-class university construction university supported by the province. It is jointly established by the Emergency Management Department of People's Republic of China (PRC), the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Hebei Province.
It was selected into the excellent engineer education and training program of the Ministry of Education, the excellent doctor education and training program, the national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training program, the new engineering research and practice project, the provincial collaborative innovation center, the international Chinese teacher scholarship receiving institution, and the national comprehensive professional reform pilot.
Hebei United University, the predecessor of the school, was formed by the merger of Hebei Polytechnic University and North China Coal Medical College in 20 10, and was renamed North China University of Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education in February 20 15. Hebei Polytechnic University, formerly known as Beiyang Western Mining Institute, was founded in 1895. Founded in 1958, the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Tianjin University is registered in 1959.
Tangshan Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Hebei Tangshan Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Hebei Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Tangshan Institute of Engineering and Technology have all been used. North China Coal Medical College, formerly Kailuan Senior Nurse Vocational School, was founded in 1926. 1958 was renamed Kailuan medical college. 1963, Fuxin Coal Mine Health School and Tangshan Health School merged to form Tangshan Coal Mine Medical College, formerly known as Hebei Medical College.

There are 30 teaching institutions, 6 teaching auxiliary institutions and 9 directly affiliated institutions, 1 undergraduate majors, 1 postdoctoral research mobile stations, 3 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees and 28 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees.
There are 3452 faculty members and 46854 full-time students, including 35594 undergraduates, 53 doctoral and master students, 5648 junior college students and 298 international students.
